Gov. Tony Evers tonight will unveil his budget proposal for the 2019-21 biennium during a speech at the State Capitol. The speech begins at 7 p.m., and can be viewed on WisconsinEye.
Evers released some details of his budget plan for higher education to the Associated Press last weekend. The proposal includes $150 million in additional funding for UW System. A tuition freeze for in-state undergraduate students that was implemented in 2013 would be extended for the next two years. Evers also proposes a 2 percent pay increase for UW System employees in each year of the biennium.
